Privacy Policy

VectoFix is published by William GEORGE, a sole trader operating under the commercial name “La Fabrik Numérique” (business registration (SIRET): 518 251 897 00048 — address: 18 rue de l'Oiseau Blanc, 42155 Saint-Léger-sur-Roanne, France), referred to below as “we” or “VectoFix”.

VectoFix processes your images and SVG files directly on your computer. Your files are never sent to a server, the cloud, or any third party: they never leave your machine. The fidelity measurement and the magic-brush correction tool run locally, on your own processor.

• No image or SVG file is uploaded or stored online.
• The application sends anonymous usage statistics (see below), which you can turn off at any time in the advanced settings. No advertising tracker is built in.
• The application works without an internet connection, except for license verification (see section 3).

Anonymous usage statistics: the application sends simple usage counters to our analytics tool (PostHog, hosted in the European Union) — app launch, opening an image (format and dimensions only), end of vectorization and its fidelity, brush strokes and their gain, exports, version, system, language and license status. They rely on a random identifier stored on your computer, never linked to your email or license key. They never contain your images, their content or their file names. To turn them off: advanced settings, untick “Anonymous usage statistics”.

The application stores a few technical files locally in the %APPDATA%\VectoFix folder on your computer (license key, anonymous statistics identifier, language and theme preferences). These files stay on your machine and are never transmitted to us.

VectoFix license purchases and license management are handled by our payment provider Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record. When you make a purchase, Lemon Squeezy collects the data required for the transaction:

• your name and email address;
• your country and billing information (required to calculate VAT);
• your payment details, processed directly by Lemon Squeezy and its banking partners. We never have access to your card number.

Your license key is emailed to you by Lemon Squeezy. When the application is connected to the internet, it may verify the validity of your license against Lemon Squeezy's servers (this check transmits your license key and the associated email). Offline, validation is performed locally, without contacting any server.

If you purchase VectoFix through the Microsoft Store, the transaction and associated data are handled by Microsoft, in accordance with its own privacy policy.

The page is a presentation showcase. We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that measures traffic and downloads in an aggregated, anonymous way (page views, country, device type) without setting any cookie or collecting data that identifies you. The website uses no advertising cookie or third-party tracker.

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. and the domain name is managed by OVH. Like any host, Vercel may record standard connection data (such as the IP address) in its technical logs, for security and proper operation of the service.

The website uses no tracking, advertising, or audience-measurement cookies: our analytics tool (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookieless. No cookie consent is therefore required to browse it.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data.

To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@lafabriknumerique.fr. For data processed as part of a purchase, you may also contact Lemon Squeezy directly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL — www.cnil.fr).

We do not maintain a user database. Data related to a purchase (invoice, email) is retained by our provider Lemon Squeezy and by us for the period required by our legal and accounting obligations.

Some of our providers (Lemon Squeezy, Vercel) may be established outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. Where applicable, such transfers are governed by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms).

VectoFix is not intended for individuals under the age of 15, and we do not knowingly collect data about them.

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the product or to applicable regulations. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this page.
